Are you a small animal vet looking for an exciting opportunity in a well-equipped, supportive independent practice on Ireland’s stunning south-east coast?

We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly clinic seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing team.

The Role

This is a 100% small animal position in a modern, fully equipped clinic (digital X-ray, ultrasound scanner, IDEXX in-house laboratory).

You’ll be joining a collaborative team with a highly experienced senior vet (25+ years in practice) providing excellent support and mentoring.

Key details:

- Varied and interesting caseload – no two days are the same!

- 1:4 out-of-hours rota, moving to 1:6 following probation

- Confident working independently with routine procedures such as cat spays/neuters and minor lumpectomies

Ideal start: as soon as possible, but flexibility for the right candidate

About You

We’re seeking a veterinary professional with at least 1 year of clinical experience, including some surgical ability.

Candidates who have volunteered at high-volume cat spay clinics are also encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

- Competent in diagnostics and basic surgical procedures

- Minimum of 1 year in clinical practice

- Strong communication skills and a good standard of English

- English language exam passed

- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and ready to be part of a close-knit team

Why Apply?

- Work in a scenic coastal location with vibrant local life

- Supportive, hands-on team in an independent practice environment

- Excellent track record of helping international vets settle in and thrive

- Opportunity for long-term employment beyond the initial year

If you're ready to take the next step in your veterinary career and want to work in a genuinely rewarding and varied role, we’d love to hear from you.

Please get in touch with your CV and salary expectations for an initial conversation.
