Our client is seeking a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join a long-standing independent practice serving its community for over 140 years.
Based in a brand-new purpose-built facility, this role offers the opportunity to practice true James Herriot-style veterinary medicine, working closely with a loyal rural client base across small animals, equine, and farm patients.
This position would suit a vet with around 2+ years’ experience, although confidence, initiative, and a genuine desire to build relationships with clients are equally important.
The practice is looking for someone who enjoys community-focused veterinary work and is keen to become a long-term part of the local area.
Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, the successful candidate will deliver preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, and emergency treatment across a varied mixed caseload.
As an independent practice, vets benefit from clinical freedom and a supportive environment without corporate targets.
Located in Knighton, where the Shropshire Hills meets Mid Wales, the area offers a relaxed rural lifestyle with outstanding countryside, hiking, and a strong sense of community.
