Looking for a well equipped GP role with a varied caseload and exposure to more advanced procedures?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy, well supported first opinion practice in Cardiff Bay.

 

 

The Role:

- Full-time position ( 40 hours per week)

- No out-of-hours (OOH)

- 1 in 3 Saturdays

- Part-time and flexible working patterns available

- Mix of consulting, surgery, and case management

- Some sole charge responsibility

This is a strong GP role with excellent surgical exposure, ideal for a vet looking to continue developing clinically.

 

 

The Practice:

You’ll be working in a well equipped, modern first opinion clinic with access to excellent facilities:

- 3 consulting rooms

- Digital X-ray & ultrasound

- In-house laboratory (including clotting times)

- Orthopaedic surgical kit

- Electrocautery & suction

- Separate dog and cat wards

- Mobile CT scanner every 4 weeks

The clinic also benefits from a broad and interesting caseload, including more advanced procedures supported by visiting specialists.

 

 

What you'll be doing:

- Consultations – routine and more complex cases

- Performing routine and some advanced surgery

- Medical workups and case management

- Building strong client relationships and continuity of care

- Collaborating closely with nurses and the wider team
