Our client is seeking an experienced Large Animal Locum Veterinarian to support a friendly mixed animal practice in the Marlborough region while they recruit permanently.

Located in Blenheim, near the Marlborough Sounds, the area offers beaches, hiking, mountain biking, and world-class wineries — all within a relaxed and welcoming community.
Start: Late March (flexible)
Duration: Ongoing (initial 2–3+ months)
The Role:
- Farm visits, consultations, diagnostics, and surgery
- Providing practical advice and support to farming clients
- Working collaboratively within an experienced, supportive team
- Shared after-hours rota (separate large and small animal)
Working Pattern:
- Typically 4–5 days per week
- Day shifts generally 8:00am – 5:00/5:30pm (flexible depending on workload)
- Shared on-call rota for large animal (separate from small animal)
- Flexibility around schedule for the right candidate
Who they're looking for:
- 2+ years’ experience in large animal practice
- Confident working independently in the field
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible and reliable for ongoing locum work
