I’m working with a long-established, proudly independent RCVS Tier 2 accredited practice in Rochdale seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing 8-vet team.

The Role:
- Small animal veterinary surgeon role (3–4 days per week considered)
- Mix of consulting, surgery and branch work
- Supportive caseload with freedom to work cases up properly
- Opportunity to develop clinical interests
- Participation in Saturday rota (1 in 3 mornings)
- No out-of-hours (external provider used)
The Facilities:
- Three-site independent practice network
- Fully equipped main hospital with separate cat/dog wards, theatres
- IDEXX in-house lab, ultrasound, orthopaedic kit and K-Laser
- New purpose built branch with rehab, hydrotherapy and physiotherapy
- Strong diagnostic and surgical capability across sites
The Team:
- 8 vets (mix of experienced clinicians and recent grads)
- 8 RVNs + student nurses + support staff
- Dedicated SQP and experienced reception team
- Regular clinical meetings over CPD and team socials
Rota and Work-Life Balance:
- 3–4 day working week (flexible)
- 1 in 3 Saturday mornings only
- No out-of-hours
- Mix of consults, surgery and branch rotation
The Package:
- Up to £65,000 DOE
- £1,750 CPD allowance + funded study support
- 5 weeks holiday + bank holidays
- RCVS, VDS and professional memberships paid
- Strong career development support (including certificates)
