A large, well-equipped veterinary hospital in Leeds is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its experienced team in a consult-only position.
This is an excellent opportunity for a vet who enjoys client interaction, case management and medicine-focused work without routine surgical responsibilities.
Working alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, you will have access to advanced diagnostics, specialist support and a varied caseload within a busy referral and emergency hospital environment.
The hospital supports both referral services and out-of-hours care for multiple practices across the region, offering exposure to a diverse range of medical cases while maintaining a strong focus on clinical development and collaboration.

- Large veterinary hospital with a team of 70 colleagues
- 15-vet clinical team
- Surgical, medicine and dentistry certificate holders in-house
- Referral and emergency hospital services
- Supports 19 regional practices

Clinical Focus:
- Consult-only position
- 30-minute sick-pet consultations as standard
- Medicine-focused caseload
- Emergency and critical care exposure during weekends

Working Pattern:
- Part-time position
- 22 hours per week
- Two weekday consulting shifts (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday)
- 8.5-hour shifts (9am–6pm or 11am–8pm)
- 1 in 4 weekends
- Weekend hospital shifts alongside full ECC team
- Flexible interview process via Teams or on-site visit
