This 24hr Referral Hospital is seeking an experienced Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated Emergency & Critical Care team.
This is a rare opportunity to work a highly attractive 7 nights on, 21 nights off rota within a modern referral environment with exceptional support.

The Role:
- Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon within a busy referral hospital
- Manage emergency and critical care cases overnight
- Provide high-quality inpatient care and clinical decision-making
- Work alongside another ECC Vet and dedicated night RVNs
- Support emergency cases across multiple referral disciplines
- Opportunity to further develop ECC skills and knowledge
The Facilities:
- Purpose built 24hr referral hospital
- CT scanner
- High & low flow oxygen therapy (Vapotherm)
- Mindray D30 defibrillator
- Advanced crash trolley setup
- ICU environmental control systems
- POCUS
- Endoscopy
- Extensive diagnostic and critical care equipment
The Team:
- Dedicated ECC team of 5 clinicians
- Residency trained Head of Department
- Advanced Practitioners and certificate holders
- Experienced night RVNs
- Support from a multidisciplinary referral team of 30+ clinicians
- Collaborative, respectful and supportive culture
The Package:
- From £60 per hour DOE
- 7 nights on / 21 nights off rota
- Accommodation available during working periods
