An independent small animal practice in Livingston is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its growing team.
Established in 2024, this modern and well-equipped clinic offers an excellent opportunity for a vet looking to work within a supportive, progressive environment with access to advanced procedures and equipment.
This role combines consulting and surgery, providing a varied caseload and the opportunity to work cases up to a high standard.
The practice undertakes a broad range of procedures in-house, including endoscopy, laparoscopy, orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery, with access to a visiting CT scanner service.

Clinical Focus:
- Three consulting days per week
- One dedicated operating day per week
- Varied first-opinion medical and surgical caseload
- Opportunity to develop advanced surgical and diagnostic skills
- Continuity of care and case management
Working Pattern:
- Full-time position
- 40 hours per week across five 8-hour shifts
- One overnight on-call shift per week
- No requirement to remain on-site overnight
- One Saturday morning per month (with a half day off in lieu)
- Start date: September 2026 (flexible for the right candidate)
Total Rewards:
- Salary Dependent on Experience
- Annual pay increases (£2,080 equivalent per annum)
- 20% of out-of-hours fees collected paid additionally
- 29 days annual leave including statutory holidays
- £1,500 CPD allowance plus 2 days paid CPD leave
- RCVS fees paid
- VDS cover provided
