Our client is looking for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join their team in Ripon, Yorkshire, offering an attractive 7 nights on, 14 nights off working pattern.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Vet looking for a structured night rota, supported by an experienced nursing team throughout the night.
Night Shift
- 7 nights on, 14 nights off
- 6:00pm – 8:30am Monday to Sunday
- Night Vet supported by a dedicated Night Nurse
- Twilight Nurse and Auxiliary team until approximately 11:00pm
- On-site bedroom facilities available
- Caseload-dependent overnight workload
The Vet is expected to remain active until midnight, completing patient checks, client updates and the usual night-time patient routine, including walking and toilet trips alongside the Night Nurse.
Following this, the workload is case-dependent, with the Vet expected to remain on site and use the provided bedroom facilities between cases.
Day Team Integration
Our client is keen for the Night Vet to become part of the wider practice team, with some daytime weekend work expected.
This could include working weekend days before starting the Monday–Friday night shifts or periodically taking additional daytime hours, helping build strong relationships with the day team and maintain continuity across the practice.
What They’re Looking For:
Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident working independently overnight and comfortable managing emergency and inpatient cases.
The role would suit a Vet who values a strong support network, enjoys emergency and critical care and is looking for a genuinely attractive 7-on-14-off rota.
