INDEPENDENT 24-hour hospital
Choice of 7 night on / 14 off or 14 on / 28 off rota's
After successfully finding this independent practice and excellent veterinary surgeon earlier this year, who is incredibly happy, we are now looking to secure another night veterinary surgeon for the team....
If your'e an experienced small animal vet who enjoys emergency work, inpatient care and having genuine clinical autonomy, this one is worth a look.
Were recruiting for an Emergency & Inpatient Night Veterinary Surgeon to join an independently owned 24-hour hospital in Staffordshire.
This isn't a practice with a token OOH service attached. The hospital provides veterinary consultations 24/7, meaning youll see a genuine emergency caseload alongside managing inpatients throughout the night.
The role includes:
- Emergency consultations and triage
- Stabilisation and diagnostics
- Critically ill and hospitalised patients
- Emergency & urgent surgery
- Anaesthesia and peri-operative care
- Developing inpatient treatment plan
- Full clinical ownership of cases overnight
- Thorough handover to the daytime teamAnd importantly, youll have an experienced nursing team alongside you.
The Rota
7 nights on / 14 nights off OR 14 nights on / 28 nights off
- 8pm–8am
- £60,000–£80,000 FTE, depending on experience and clinical capability.
ECC/OOH experience would be ideal, but experienced GP vets with a strong interest in emergency and critical care are also encouraged to apply.
The big selling point?
It's genuinely independent.
You can work within a hospital where clinical decisions are made by the team caring for the patients, with a varied caseload and plenty of autonomy.
