The clinic is in the process of building a passionate and highly skilled team of Vets, Nurses, and front-of-house staff dedicated to serving clients across the wider community.
The clinic is currently seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their team as a Specialist or Advanced Practitioner. This role offers autonomy to influence the clinical direction of the practice. The successful candidate will become an integral part of a dedicated team, benefitting from outstanding support staff and ongoing investments in branch growth.
Establish and develop the referral clinic.
Provide advanced care in areas such as internal medicine, surgery, neurology, ophthalmology, or dermatology.
Build and manage a case-load portfolio by liaising with local clinics.
Deliver CPD to veterinary colleagues, fostering career growth within the clinic.
Demonstrate a strong customer focus, ensuring exceptional care throughout the client journey.
Support the team and contribute to skills development as needed.
The clinic is well-equipped with MRI, CT, endoscopy, x-ray, ultrasound, radioactive iodine unit, and on-site laboratory equipment. Night nursing services are available, and additional local support is provided for inpatients from other 24h clinics within the group.
Salary range: £95-135k per annum (depending on experience).
Specialist CPD: 5 days / £5k plus additional days/spend for lecturing.
To start as soon as possible.
4/5 day working week with flexible options.
Weekend/evening on-call for emergencies only.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will be a registered Specialist / Residency Trained / Advanced Practitioner (with Referral Experience) with expertise in disciplines such as Orthopaedics, Soft tissue surgery, Neurology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Feline Medicine, Dentistry, or Cardiology.
CPD allowance with enhancements for specialisms
RCVS, BVA, and VDS fees paid
5 weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays
4 weeks' paid sabbatical (after each 5 years of service)
